PUEBLO — The Pueblo Police Department has found a woman who suffered serious injuries following an alleged carjacking.

According to Captain Kenny Rider, Angelic Lobato was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Denver when she checked herself out of the facility.

She is accused of aggravated robbery, possession of a real/simulated weapon, driving under restraint, eluding police, and reckless driving. Back on October 24, Pueblo Police were chasing Lobato when she tried to run between two train cars and suffered serious injuries.

According to police, she had pulled a gun on woman during a carjacking then led officers on a chase up and down the Highway 50 Bypass, I-25 and 29th Street. The stolen Dodge Challenger was stopped near the train tracks when officers used a PIT maneuver to intervene.

Rider noted Lobato should have been under supervision at the facility as a suspect in a series of crimes.

Pueblo Police do not arrest suspect taken to a hospital as that would leave the city responsible for medical care. Instead, officers will arrest a suspect upon release from a medical facility.
